Specializing in fast-growing sectors like Software-as-a-Service, partnership ecosystems, Platform-as-a-Service, and hyperscaler infrastructure, Jonathan has helped large-scale enterprises transform from legacy systems to modern managed service providers. His consulting expertise spans across multiple regions, working with both global and regional technology firms on staffing, management, hyper-growth, and retention strategies.
With significant experience in international markets, Jonathan brings valuable insights into global technology market trends and cross-border investment opportunities. With a diverse background in B2B sales, recruitment, operations, and leadership, Nick brings a unique blend of strategic insight and operational expertise to the companies he invests in. His hands-on approach helps startups not only secure the necessary capital but also implement scalable processes and strategies for sustainable growth Before founding BVI Capital, Nick served as Vice President at Trusted Nurse Staffing, LLC, where he managed a team of 60+ sales professionals, oversaw the entire travel division, and spearheaded process improvements that significantly boosted efficiency and revenue. Nick has a proven track record of driving performance through relationship-building, process optimization, and team development. At BVI Capital, Nick leverages his extensive experience to provide more than just capital. He works closely with founders to streamline operations, create growth strategies, and connect them with a network of industry experts, ensuring their success at every stage.

Lindsay Karas Stencel

Lindsay is a Senior Partner at Thompson Hine LLP in the New Ventures group, where she focuses on assisting venture capital firms with formation and investments and increasing capital access for entrepreneurs throughout Upstate NY and the Midwest. Representing venture firms and startups nationwide, she also chairs the firm’s Fund Formation practice group, where she oversees private fund formation for clients in 49 states. Lindsay is also a 7-time general partner of venture funds in Ohio and New York, investing more than $100m over 20 years, having exited multiple billion dollar companies. She also serves as an adjunct law professor teaching Venture Capital and Dealmaking at THE Ohio State University School of Law.

As CFO of HighView Healthcare Partners, Michael transformed the company from a startup into a powerhouse generating nearly $200 million in annual revenues. His strategic leadership, honed by his years overseeing complex financial operations, M&A opportunities, and optimizing cost structures, is key to his role at BVI, where he is dedicated to driving smart, scalable growth for the firm’s portfolio.
In addition to his role at BVI, Michael has personally invested in several startups both domestically and internationally. His strong financial background, paired with his strategic insights, has allowed him to back emerging businesses while supporting their growth from behind the scenes. Beyond his professional endeavors, Michael’s passion for mentoring future financial leaders and his commitment to community service highlight his dedication to creating lasting impact in both the business world and his local community.

Dave Yovanoff

A corporate M&A and ECVC lawyer by trade, Dave is a key member of the BVI portfolio investments team, and is also responsible for legal affairs, compliance, and investor relations. Dave is currently counsel at an Amlaw 100 law firm, where his practice focuses on venture financing and growth equity transactions, including SAFEs, venture debt instruments, and NVCA preferred financing rounds, as well as private and public company mergers and acquisitions, private equity platform and add-on acquisitions, and other general corporate matters. He invests internationally and leverages his extensive network to help unlock new partnerships and funding opportunities, in addition to working closely with portfolio companies and prospective targets during the term sheet, due diligence and transaction execution phases of the investment process.
